Craig Saul Awarded Lester Finch Award 2026

We were pleased to present Craig Saul with the Lester Finch award for 2026 ahead of our final home game against Gillingham on Saturday.

Earlier this season, Craig celebrated 25 years of voluntary service as the stadium announcer at Barnet FC.

After having previous experience of sports announcing, Craig wandered into the Barnet Club Shop on the High Street in Underhill one day and, by chance, was told the stadium announcer at the time was about to retire.

Craig was asked there and then if he would like to be considered for the replacement and shortly after, was on the microphone for a Football League Division Two fixture between Kidderminster Harriers and the Bees on the 9th September 2000.

25 years on, and Craig has witnessed three relegations, but also three promotions with the Bees.
