After announcing our partnership with Her Game Too back in February, we were thrilled to be hosting our first dedicated Her Game Too fixture against Newport County on Saturday 14th March, our closest home game to International Women’s Day.
To mark the occasion, we were able to give away up to 250 free tickets to local schools and grassroots teams. Thank you to Barnet for their generosity in giving us these to distribute, allowing us to welcome new supporters to The Hive. Kkan Pharma Limited were also kind enough to sponsor 15 Boots vouchers, each worth £10, which were given out to female supporters on the day. Plenty of Her Game Too badges were also handed out, allowing fans to show their support and commitment to equality in football. Season ticket holder Emily Mann can be seen representing the badge as she handed Nnamdi Ofoborh the Player of the Month award for February.
Having only had our partnership with Her Game Too running for about a month, we are proud of what we were able to achieve and it was great to see so much support for our first event.
This is just the start and we look forward to building on this and hosting more Her Game Too events going forward!
